CONTENT FOR IN-PERSON VISITS & VIRTUAL VISITS:
For grades K-3 and/or 4-6 or anything in between:
—How I wanted to be a book illustrator, but wound up being an author (and how drawing still helps me write books).
—A quick look at how a story becomes a book.
—How to write a story in 6 easy steps.
—I wrote some GRAPHIC NOVELS, and kids can too. (My first 2 graphic novels pub spring 2025 with Penguin/RH).
—Make a picture book dummy.
—My friend Suzanne and I write 7 book series together. Here’s how we do it (by borrowing ideas from myths & fairy tales.)
—COMING in spring 2025: GRAPHIC NOVEL WORKSHOP (in person or virtual)
—VIRTUAL VISITS: I offer a virtual 45-minute Zoom (or other online vehicle you prefer), which includes a 30-35 minute session talking to your class/group about the book stuff mentioned above, plus 10 or so mins of Q&A. Cost for 1 online session is $400.
—If you buy my books for your event, I can sign and mail bookplates, so your kids will have autographed books.
—Session content varies a bit depending on age group.
